General Auction Rules
- All Bids Are Final — Once a bid is placed, it cannot be canceled, edited, or reduced. So bid carefully.
- Verified Bidding — Bids are subject to verification to ensure legitimacy and prevent fraud.
- Sniping Prevention — Auctions are extended by 30 seconds if a bid is placed in the final moments, ensuring all bidders have a fair chance to respond.
- Tie Bids — If two bidders enter the same maximum bid, priority is given to the earlier bid.
- Reserve Pricing — Some items may have a reserve price (the minimum the seller will accept). Items won't sell unless bidding meets or exceeds this threshold, though sellers have a small window to accept a below-reserve bid.
Seller Protections
- Non-Paying Bidders — Winning bidders who fail to pay within the required timeframe may face account restrictions. Sellers may offer the item to the next highest bidder or re-list it.
- Bidder Identity Checks — Only verified human users may participate. ID verification may be required. Sellers retain the right to block any bidder.
- Disputes — Selling Lane is a platform for transactions and won't mediate disputes. You must resolve issues directly with the other party.
- Anti-Manipulation Monitoring — Our system actively monitors for unusual activity, bid manipulation, shilling, and fake bids. Users who violate platform rules face account suspension or permanent removal.
Buyer Protections
- Authenticity — If an item's authenticity is disputed, buyers and sellers must resolve the issue directly. Selling Lane does not arbitrate authenticity claims.
- Honest Listings — Sellers must provide accurate, detailed item descriptions. Major discrepancies may result in seller termination.
- Secure Payments — Sellers provide details on payment methods including a pay-link. Review your invoice for details.
